Choosing the Right CameraInstallation of a video surveillance system begins with choosing the right camera or cameras for the job. If you have a location to where you cannot easily run a video cable then a wireless (perhaps even battery powered) camera might be just the thing. Convenience is a big consideration. For example, if you want a camera to use as a baby monitor a powerpoint will normally be available in the child's room, but you may not want to run a video cable to the room where it will be monitored, or you may want to easily be able to move the viewing location - something that can be easily done with a wireless camera simply by moving the receiver to another television.
