The 47BL301R is an active CCTV video balun receiver that is compatible analog CVBS, AHD, HD-TVI, and HD-CVI type security cameras. Active video baluns (also known as UTP baluns) are powered so that they can amplify the video signal longer distances than passive (non-powered) baluns. CCTV baluns transmit video signal from security cameras using unshielded twisted pair / UTP cable such as CAT-5 cable instead of coax cable, such as RG59. The 47BL301R can be paired with a compatible passive video balun to create an amplified video signal that can transmit CVBS video up to 2400 meters using CAT5.

When the 47BL301R is paired with the 47BL301A active video balun transmitter, the effective distance increases up to 3000 meters for CVBS. 

There are switches to adjust the distance.
